I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Run with my dad this morning out around laverkin.  I have to eat more carbs.  Between the heat and the pace, i died around 5 and had to walk for a few. That is always annoying especially on such a short run.

Walking today.  My knees were pretty sore and just stiff from yesterdays run so to walk felt great.  I have missed walking and am gonna have to start going more.

Walking again.  Trying to save my knees and loosten my joints.  It was fun to walk again, I need to do more of it.

Laverkin loop again with my dad.  I only had about 4.5 hours sleep last night so we went pretty slow, didnt have alot of juice.  My hip sure did hurt the first couple blocks and I was running quite gimpy like for that time.  I didnt enjoy that at all.  But it did start feeling better after that.

I miss my spin bike.  Hopefully the part will be here early next week.  ( I think continuing on my spin bike with the broken pedal is what hurt my hip, duh for me)

Walking again today with anna in the stroller.  it has been a long time since i pushed her and walked.  it was fun.

one more longer run tomorrow then no more until after bryce.  should be ok.

Run with my boss today.  Fun times to have some company, although, I think i enjoy shorter runs with people and longer ones by myself.  that way i dont feel bad if i have to slow way down or whatever. 

we kept a pretty good pace, had a couple low 8's but had to walk a couple times which put the average pace at 9.   I am happy with that.

Walking again today. My knees have been pretty stiff after the last few runs so walking has been helping.  Hopefully my spin bike part will be here today, i am jonesin for my bike!!

Run with my dad this morning.  Out to laverkin and back.  My hip hurt so bad i almost quit at mile one, but shortly after that is loostened up.

walking this morning.   i have officially decided to scratch bryce which makes me want to cry.  i thought i was ready but saving my knees are more important than a run.  

i will walk and spin for a week or two and go from there.  very sad!!
