Running Accomplishments:

I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Ran with my dad this morning.  We hit Pah Tempe at the start this time which is a more gradual up hill and definately easier.  We went to the Laverkin stake center and back.

Always good to have company.  Feel good.  The spin bike is great cross training and I even have dropped a couple stubborn pounds!!!!  Yeah!!!

Ran the Laverkin loop today.  I was pretty tired the whole way, just didnt have any juice.  But I made it, so that is good.

Laverkin loop today and hit Pah Tampe on the way home.  Felt good, a bit groggy at first, I do not like mornings!!

Ran the Laverkin loop again today but with my dad so it was faster.  Averaged 8:34 and one 7:56.  Good run and always good to have company.

Good run with my dad this morning.  We averaged 8:43 (I think) which I am very happy with.  Kinda slow for him, but thats nice of him to run slow with me. 

We just did a loop out and around Hurricane.  The temp was great cuz it is pretty cloudy, made for a great run.

Felt good and so far knee feels good also.  The last 2 runs have been in my old orthotics.  We will see what happens.

Same as the last few days.  Laverkin loop and finished with Pah Tempe.  I feel strong.  I have been running in my old orthotics and knee pain has gone.  That is 400 bucks down the drain.  That sucks.  Hopefully I can have them do something about it.  

I feel like I will be ready for Bryce with a couple more long runs.

Some runs are most definately easier than others, for me anyway.  Out to Angel Heights road and back.  Felt good except for a little sluggish.

Did my Hurricane loop and Laverkin loop with pah tempe at about 8.5 (that hurt).  I stopped by my house at 9.4 to get some gatorade and my daughter wanted to go with me so we got some shoes on her and finished up running around the cemetery a few times.

The plan was to hit 12 but the last mile and 1/2 were slow.  Anna did run at least a 1/2 mile though, maybe a bit more.  It was fun to run with her!!!

Same run as tuesday. It took longer than I would have liked to loosten up and not feel the pounding in my legs and knees.  Some days I think I just am not cut out to be a runner, and that is a very sad thought.  

Felt good after getting warmed up though.  Slow and steady.

Pretty much the same as last weekend.  A 9 mile loop around hurricane and laverkin.  Home for some gatorade then another 4 mile loop.

Felt pretty good for the most part, did a couple hills.  

I did end up with a pretty nasty looking blister.  I knew as i put on my socks this morning that i should not wear those particular ones but once again i did not listen to myself.  Oh well, it will go away.
