I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Walking 2 miles with 200 lunges mixed in there.  Felt good.

I decided to try it again today and felt great.  No pain, no discomfort.  The last few days I have been walking and doing lunges and hopefully strengthening my legs a bit more.  I am hoping, very much, that that was the problem with me getting injured every month. 

Last time I ran my leg felt ok while running, but 4 hours later it was hurting.  Today, it has been 6 already and I still feel great.  Hopefully I will be good.  I think I will continue with the lunges and walking every other day.  Maybe this time I can stay un-injured!!!!  Wouldn't that be great!!!!!

2 miles walking with 200 lunges.  Very uneventful.  Trying to strengthen my mucles.  Hopefully I can stay injury free.

Wanted to run today, but I have a pretty good hike tomorrow, so I walked with 200 lunges.
